*Dr. Seraly, over the last 10 years, has been involved with providing expert medical opinions for the legal profession pertaining to medical malpractice, personal injury and workman’s compensation cases.

A.  Fee structure for IME cases (Personal Injury and Workman’s Compensation) for 2006:

1)  IME:       $1000 (includes report writing)

I generally spend no less than one hour taking a detailed medical history and performing a comprehensive skin screening examination in order to fully understand the nature of the presenting problem(s) and the question(s) being asked. 

2)  Records review and report writing: $300/hour

If the medical record exceeds 100 pages, then there will be an additional hourly charge of $300/hour for records review. 

3)       Deposition:  $1500/hour                                     

4)       Video-Deposition:  $2,000/hour

5)       Trial Appearance:  Negotiable, depending upon the time commitment required (~$4,000/day).

B.      Fee Schedule for Medical Malpractice cases for 2006 (* Doctor’s defense Only)

a.       Records review:  $300/hour

b.       Expert Opinion Report:  $2500

c.       Deposition:  $2,000/hour

d.        Video-Deposition:  $3,000/hour

e.       Trial Appearance:  Negotiable, depending upon the time commitment required (~$4,000/day).
